Scott Bushley is a Massachusetts-based investment management professional who has served as a partner of finances and operations at Granite Point Capital since 2018. He was previously head of business operations at the world's largest multi-affiliate investment manager, BNY Mellon Investment Management. In addition to his professional endeavors, Scott Bushley is a member of the board of directors for the Cohasset Youth Baseball & Softball Association (CYBSA).
Although summer is coming to a close, CYBSA will be offering fall programs that extend to late October for different age groups. Below are three of those programs and what participants can expect from each:
1. Rising 6s and 7s - Available for players born between September 1, 2012, and August 31, 2014, this program stresses fundamental defense in the infield as well as hand-eye coordination at the plate. Each one-hour session will end in a challenge game in which players can showcase the skills they have practiced.
2. Rising 11s - Held every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., this program is for kids born between September 1, 2008, and August 31, 2009. Emphasis is placed on infield and outfield defense in situational settings with the goal of improving decision-making skills. At the plate, kids will focus on pitch recognition and how to hit curveballs.
3. Metro Fall Baseball League - This league is for 14- and 15-year-old players. Ten games will be played across five double-headers on Sundays. Exceptions may be made for 13-year-old players who exhibit adequate skill levels.
